Pick a peach at Beech
Irish Independent Property Section Friday 29th October 2004.

The Stillorgan Road, one of the main arteries into the city centre, has become the focus of considerable development due to take place over the next few years. As religious and business concerns sell off sections of their land along “the dual-er”, our top construction firms are moving in with plans to provide large apartment complexes.

With work just beginning on several of these, it will probably be 18 months before completion of the first units. This week see the launch of Beech Park, the latest enterprise of Jackson Homes. These are the builders who brought us Woodview, off Mount Merrion Avenue, Garyneure in Milltown, Whately Place in Stillorgan and Radcliffe Hall in Sandymount.

Beech Park is located on the coast side of the Stillorgan Road, opposite Brewery Road and before Newtownpark Ave. It is close to the local amenities of Foxrock Village, Blackrock and Stillorgan and adjoins the Quality Bus Corridor with its excellent bus service.

When completed the development will comprise of approximately 350 1- and 2-bed apartments, duplex apartments, penthouses and 25 large 3-storey townhouses. The first phase, consisting of 2-bed units (70m2) will start from €420,000.

The architects Anthony Reddy Associates set their main design objectives as large apartments with balconies and terraces. The result, with its striking contemporary elevations, is exciting. Each apartment has been carefully planned with particular attention paid to finishes. The kitchens have distinctive solid oak shaker-style units with black granite worktops and state of the art kitchen appliances included. Bathrooms will have extensive wall and floor tiling with DEVI under floor heating.

Bedrooms will have the latest built-in wardrobes and internal doors have a cherry-wood finish. Car parking is underground.
