Dublin 8 in new apartments bonanza
Irish Independent Property Section, Friday 7th May 2004

More than 240 apartments worth more than €70m are in the pipeline for five new projects in the city-centre section of Dublin 8.

Near to Dublin Castle, 119 apartments have been granted permission for two sites at Chancery Lane. The largest of these, involving 77 apartments, is to be developed by Galway firm, Rhatigan Developments and designed by Anthony Reddy Associates. With frontage onto Golden Lane, it will include four retail units at ground level in the 7-storey block.

Nearby at the junction of Bride St and Chancery Lane, permission has also been granted for a 7-storey scheme of 42 apartments. The landowners are expected to recoup €6.5m from the sale of this site to developers later this month through Sherry Fitzgerald.
