Design Booked Douglas-based RORSA has an impressive roster of schemes to its credits. Office buildings are an important part of the work of this long established practice, notably the new IDA Business Park in Fermoy. The gateway to buildings for the new Fermoy complex are set to become an eye-catching landmark on the main Cork-Dublin road. “With its two manmade lakes, there is the suggestion of a ship in this brace of 4-storey buildings containing offices and staff facilities,” the new publication comments. “The structure consists of curved steel ribs supporting an external envelope of copper. The entrance incorporates a 3-storey atrium.” McCullough Mulvin has also produced a diverse body of work. This includes Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, the Model Arts & Niland Gallery, Sligo, Usher Library, TCD and the colourful Dungloe District Offices in Co. Donegal. The new publications are available from bookshops or direct from Gandon Editions, Kinsale.
