The race is on to Saggart
Irish Independent Property Section, Friday 15th October, 2004.

Saggart, a picturesque village location where Wicklow, Dublin and Kildare meet, is on the doorstep of Citywest, one of the most vibrant areas in the Dublin environs.

Much development has gone on here in recent years with dramatic re-development in the form of business parks and commercial developments. The Citywest Business Campus itself comprises over 360-acres.

William Neville & Sons, one of the leading residential developers in Ireland, is currently building a new €100m development at Saggart which goes on the market for the first time this week. Millrace encompasses fifty 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom houses and 2- and 3-bedroom apartments.

Prices start from €242,500 for 2-bedroom apartments (57m2) and from €285,000 for 3-bedroom duplex units.

Well designed by architects Anthony Reddy and Associates, the development preserves existing parkland and mature trees and also makes a feature of the atmospheric ruin of the Swiftbrook Mill which is on site and will be incorporated into the development.

Features here include natural gas fire radiator central heating, high quality fitted kitchens and external balcony space in many units.

This is a fine site and the layout will preserve the existing parkland and mature trees while also enhancing the environment with an abundance of colourful planting, water features and new landscaping.

Saggart itself is a ‘Heritage Village’, retaining most of its original characteristics and enjoying an abundance of new, sensitively designed buildings which incorporate retail, medical and other services.

It has an intimate feel and for the racing or golf enthusiast the area is a Mecca, with an abundance of facilities, clubs, courses and tracks within easy reach.
