Apartment Development
Ardilaun Court, Patrick Street/Dean Street, Dublin

Ardilaun Court is an apartment and retail development situated between Christchurch Cathedral and St Patricks Cathedral in Dublin 8.

The complex enjoys a wide frontage onto Patrick Street facing both the Iveagh Trust buildings and St Patrick’s park which are constructed by Guinness Estate in the last century.

The site is of historical and archeological significance as it straddles the wall and fronts the former bank of the River Poddle. The ground floor of the building is clad in reconstructed stone to form a formal base of the scheme.

The upper three levels are clad in brickwork, articulated by recessed and metal balconies. A recessed penthouse level is articulated by the use of pergolas.

The scheme has been recognised by a variety of bodies as a model urban renewal scheme from the development of an initial concept for a framework plan to implementation of the detailed design and construction phases of the project.
